May Favorites

May is one of my favorite months. I got married in May, my husband's birthday is in May, my mother's in laws's birthday is in May and May is Mother's day. Not to mention, more sunshine and more flowers. And this year, on May 7th, my oldest daughter, my Gabi will be making her Holy Communion and that is also the date of my 17th wedding anniversary. So we're doubly blessed!

For my daughter's celebration, we'll be serving up a luncheon, where we'll be drinking Blackberry Limeade

and eating delicious Deviled Eggs made by my sister-in-law

while feasting on barbeque baby back ribs and corn on the cob

and Mexican Chicken tamales

As for desserts, we're having a delicious lemon cake like this one from La Bella Vita, if you haven't visited this blog, you are seriously missing out on some delicious recipes. Roz, the blog's creator is a gem and a friend.

And because Memorial Day is also in May, please remember to thank a soldier for our freedoms that we enjoy and can sometimes take for granted. I thank my grandfather and my brother for valiantly fighting for my country and for our freedom. Arlington Cemetery
